Pale waterside houses, deep green trees and a narrow band of blue sea form the quiet coastal scene of Vers la plage. Broad planes of colour and soft reflections bring a gentle rhythm to the buildings and shoreline. This colour lithograph on Arches paper is signed at the lower right and numbered 97/150. The certificate on the reverse is dated 6 November 1989 and bears the name Alfred Defossez. Its measurement of 56 × 76 cm differs from the reported 58 × 78 cm; dimensions await confirmation.
